When you upload manuscripts to our Service, we collect:
- The full text of your manuscript files (.txt, .pdf, .docx)
- Metadata about your manuscripts (file name, upload date, genre, word count)
- Analysis results and AI-generated content

3. How We Protect Your Manuscript Content
3.1 Encryption
Your manuscripts are encrypted both in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest (AES-256 encryption) using Cloudflare R2 object storage.
3.2 We Never Train AI Models on Your Content
Your manuscripts are NEVER used to train our AI models or any third-party AI systems. We process your content solely to provide analysis and generate your requested outputs.
3.3 We Never Share Your Manuscripts
We will never sell, rent, or share your manuscript content with third parties, except:
- When you explicitly request it (e.g., downloading or exporting)
- When required by law (e.g., valid legal subpoena)
3.4 Third-Party AI Processing
We use OpenAI's API to generate analysis and content. According to OpenAI's Enterprise API policy:
- Your content is NOT used to train OpenAI's models
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- OpenAI does not retain your data beyond the API request
3.5 Copyright Protection
You retain full ownership and copyright of your manuscripts. We claim no intellectual property rights to your content.
4. Data Storage and Retention
4.1 Storage Duration
Manuscripts are stored according to your subscription plan:
- Free: 30 days
- Pro: 1 year
- Enterprise: Unlimited
- Pay-Per-Analysis: 90 days
4.2 Data Deletion
After the storage period expires, your manuscripts and analyses are permanently deleted from our servers and cannot be recovered.
4.3 Account Deletion
If you delete your account:
- All manuscripts and analyses are permanently deleted within 30 days
- Personal information is deleted or anonymized
- Billing records are retained for tax and legal compliance (7 years)
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following trusted third-party services to operate our platform:
5.1 Payment Processing (Stripe)
- Processes all payments and stores payment method details
- We do NOT store credit card numbers on our servers
- Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy
5.2 AI Processing (OpenAI)
- Processes manuscripts to generate analysis and content
- Does NOT train models on your content (Enterprise API agreement)
- Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy and API terms
5.3 Cloud Infrastructure (Cloudflare)
- Hosts our application (Cloudflare Workers)
- Stores manuscripts (Cloudflare R2 with encryption)
- Manages database (Cloudflare D1)
- Subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy
5.4 Analytics (Google Analytics)
- Tracks website usage and traffic sources
- Data is anonymized and aggregated
- You can opt out using browser extensions
6. Your Privacy Rights
6.1 Access and Download
You can access and download your manuscripts and analysis results at any time from your dashboard.
6.2 Update or Correct
You can update your account information from the billing dashboard.
6.3 Delete
You can delete individual manuscripts or your entire account at any time. Deleted data cannot be recovered.
6.4 Opt-Out of Marketing
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the "unsubscribe" link in any email. Transactional emails (analysis complete, billing) cannot be disabled.
6.5 GDPR Rights (EU Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under GDPR:
- Right to access your personal data
- Right to rectification (correction)
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to restrict processing
- Right to data portability
- Right to object to processing
- Right to withdraw consent
6.6 CCPA Rights (California Users)

Our Service is hosted in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your data may be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different data protection laws than your country.
By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to the United States.
